FEM is headquartered in the province of Maputo and has branches in the provinces of Tete, Sofala, and Nampula. Additionally, FEM operates in the following countries: Zambia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Malawi, and Angola.
The Fábrica de Explosivos Moçambique, Lda. is a Mozambican company founded in 1955. Since its inception, it has been the main player in the manufacturing and application of explosives in the Mozambican explosives market. Since the turn of the millennium, it has been under new management that has driven the company to become a reference in Southern Africa. Recently, it has expanded into international markets with subsidiaries in Zambia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Angola, and commercial agreements in Malawi.
